Lisa & Andrew’s Summer Wedding at Saint Brigid’s Catholic Church and Atlanta Athletic Club was such a special day rooted in love, faith, and celebration. The day was hot and sunny with temperatures in the mid-90s but this couple pushed through the heat and somehow looked flawless throughout!
The Reception at Atlanta Athletic Club featured a garden-inspired, floral filled ballroom that brought the summer season to the inside of the Venue. A central estate table with floral covered trees anchored the room and candlelight and hanging florals added to the fairytale ambiance.
Pre-Wedding
Lisa and her Bridesmaids started their day with getting Hair & Makeup done at Hotel Avalon before heading to Saint Brigid’s Church in Johns Creek. This is such a dramatic church for pictures as it features a grand staircase leading up to the Sanctuary.
Lisa chose an off the shoulder ball-gown from the Martina Liana Luxe Collection. With sparkling accents and floral appliques, the gown had Lisa truly looking like a princess. It also coordinated perfectly with the emphasis on florals throughout the day’s decor.
Ceremony at Saint Brigid’s Church in Johns Creek, GA
Lisa and Andrew did not see each other before the Wedding and we absolutely loved capturing Andrew’s emotion as he saw Lisa walking down the aisle toward him. We also loved grabbing a drone shot of the married couple leaving the church before they headed to the Reception.
Atlanta Athletic Club Wedding Reception
Despite the Heat, Lisa & Andrew pushed through for some stunning Portraits on the Golf Course. Golf outings were one of Lisa & Andrew’s favorite activities when they began dating, so it was special to capture them on the Atlanta Athletic Club Golf Course.
Britt Wood Designs created an enchanting garden-like Ballroom for Lisa & Andrew’s wedding using a combination of roses, orchards, and hydrangeas. With flowers hanging from the ceiling, soft candlelight, and a stunning Estate Table with a floral cascade to the floor, it was a dreamlike setting to celebrate the couple.
Lisa and Andrew took time to view the Ballroom on their own before guests entered and take it all in! This also gave them a great opportunity to practice their First Dance and for their Live Painter to get some shots of them to use in his painting.
Lisa & Andrew departed in a White Rolls Royce that was a surprise from her parents. They literally drove off into the sunset- it was the perfect fairytale departure!
