We love getting to photograph Atlanta Rehearsal Dinners and Welcome Parties as they are such a great kick-off to a Wedding weekend. Whether you are doing a casual BBQ or a formal sit-down dinner, the Friday night festivities are such a fun way for family and guests to catch up and celebrate the couple. As photographers, we’ve also found that the Rehearsal Dinner is a great time to take Extended Family photos, particularly if you won’t have much time on the Wedding day for Posed photos. Below are a few of our favorite Rehearsal dinner venues in Atlanta.
Bishop Station
Bishop Station is such a wonderful location for a Rehearsal Dinner. This historic building which was once home to Gulf Oil Company, features a 3,600 SF event space with brick walls, high ceilings, and plenty of natural light- a photographer’s dream! An outdoor courtyard completes the venue which is perfect for pre-dinner cocktails or an after dinner Welcome Party. We loved photographing Liza & Thomas’s summertime Rehearsal dinner in this space.

Four Seasons Atlanta
The Four Seasons is such an incredible Atlanta Rehearsal dinner location as it boasts so many different event spaces to choose from. For Arielle and Seth’s wedding weekend kick-off, they used Savannah Hall for an intimate dinner with close family and friends and then moved to the 50th Floor Penthouse for their Welcome Party. Savannah Hall has such a warm and cozy feel with its wood paneling and beautiful stone fireplace. The Penthouse space has a great sleek and modern vibe and it boasts incredible views of the City from its terrace. What a great way to show off Atlanta to out of town guests!

Atlanta History Center
The Atlanta History Center is a great spot for an Atlanta Rehearsal Dinner, particularly with its lovely terrace and gardens which are perfect for the Cocktail Hour. Emma & Peyton’s Rehersal dinner began with cocktails on the Terrace on a perfect Fall evening. We then used the adjacent Olguita Garden area to take some family photos and some shots of the couple during the perfect golden hour. The evening continued with a sit-down dinner in the Grand Overlook Ballroom.
Piedmont Driving Club
You can’t go wrong with an elegant Rehearsal dinner at the Piedmont Driving Club. Emily & Warren’s wedding weekend kicked off with cocktails and a gorgeous candle-lit sit down dinner at PDC. We also used this opportunity to go ahead and take Posed pictures of Extended family so that Emily & Warren would have more time on their wedding day to enjoy their Cocktail Hour and Reception. Whether you are using the terrace, Courtyard, or main Ballroom, there are so many great spaces at Piedmont Driving Club for a Rehearsal dinner.
